Agriturismo il Canneto
The Canneto is a small farm located in the municipality of Trecasali , in the heart of the “Po river plain”.
Based on the evolution of generations of farmers: the great-grandfather, grandfather,
father … until the new generation: youngs who want to create something new and smart.
Togheter with the idea of setting up a small farm, a dream -which had been kept in a drawer for years- comes to life : cultivating medicinal plants and herbs.
The cultivation of medicinal plants is no novelty in the countryside of the Province of Parma. Projects and experiences had seen birth in the past, thus never here in the mountains, in this rich plain mostly suited to animal husbandry .
The closing of the stable, that for years has distinguished the production of the farm, reveals today huge spaces for new experiences …
And here we are: the choice of starting with sage and lavender – colour splashes breaking the landscape usually cultivated with fodder and cereals.
Renovation respecting tradition: zero kilometers vegetable garden, hen-house, the small vineyard and the bees .
The farm offers accommodation in five double bedrooms: a structure with a simple and elegant design .
The purely modern style renovation has anyhow preserved those architectural features so typical of ancient rural house .Large windows offering a view of the surrounding landscape and the pool, make the stay particularly suitable for relaxation for either business or pleasure.Innovative systems (photovoltaic , solar panels, radiant heating / cooling ) , allow to our farm the highest energy efficiency and the greatest respect for nature.
Our facility is located in Ronco Campo Canneto ( PR) , in the nature reserve of the Lower Taro and springs, nesting area of the red-footed falcon and eagle owl , only 9 Km from Ente Fiere di Parma (Fair) which hosts several events including : CIBUS , CIBUS TEC , Mercanteinfiera , ITALIAINVITA , SPS IPC DRIVES , FAIR CAMPER , MECSPE , EMPORIUM , SWEET ITALIAN .
We are only 15 kilometers from the exit of Parma ( A1 highway )
